Vanessa Álvarez Pelayo presents Love Yourself

Vanessa Alvarez Pelayo shares Love Yourself, her new project that combines three causes: charity, self-love and surprising results

Three years ago, Vanessa Alvarez Pelayo created her Love Yourself Instagram account. This account was born with the purpose of inspiring and sharing what had worked for her personally to improve her appearance and well-being after giving birth to her two children.

“My philosophy on this account is to encourage self-love and motivate more women, providing them with tips to improve the health of their skin from home, without comparisons or competition,” explains Vanessa.

So through a personal experience the story of this brand was born, which now has four products: Reducing Gel Exfoliant, Anti-Cellulite + Firming Cream and wooden guasha.

“The four products are my favorites, I don’t have a choice. I invite you to try the exfoliant that is used with Guasha and benefits lymphatic drainage. One of the newest products is the oil that helps drain with jojoba, sweet almond, avocado oil, rosehip oil and Vitamin E. Through these ingredients we regenerate, hydrate and have a protective barrier for the skin and hair.” .

Vanessa became interested in lymphatic massage after experiencing preeclampsia during her first pregnancy. After facing these symptoms after the birth of her first child, she researched lymphatic massages. “Thanks to the information and knowledge I acquired, I had a healthy second pregnancy and postpartum. This led me to distribute the products that helped me recover my skin and thus the idea of building a community for women looking to feel comfortable physically and mentally was born,” says Vanessa about the inspiration behind Love Yourself.

“My four products are made by the Natural Lab laboratory. They are sulfate-free and contain powerful clinically proven natural ingredients. My favorite is the vanilla scrub, with natural coconut oils, waxes and calendula, among others.”

Lymphatic drainage is a massage therapy technique that consists of gentle massages to improve body circulation, with the aim of promoting lymph circulation in the lymphatic system.

Love Yourself: More than a product

Later she found someone who further introduced her to the world of at-home lymphatic massages, and later, she discovered a way to make the items she relied on. “I found a natural laboratory capable of making sulfate-free products with clinically proven ingredients,” she says excitedly.

Combine these products with a proper diet and a healthy lifestyle is good for skin, reducing sagging and obtaining more toned skin. Vanessa recommends: “The scrub should be used one to three times a week, while brushing and creams should be used every day.”

She highlights that her creams are the only ones in Mexico made by a laboratory using natural and effective ingredients. She says that she personally has seen a radical change in her body compared to when she was 20 years old. In her opinion, these creams are suitable for all body types and lifestyles. She explains that if you don’t have time to exercise, simply moving a few minutes a day will benefit your body, mind, heart, and happiness hormones.

More than a product, it’s about health and well-being

It emphasizes that the products are created with self-love in mind, with the goal of motivating women and sharing tips on how to feel comfortable in their skin and themselves. In her opinion, “all change requires effort, discipline and joy. I don’t use the word ’empowerment’ because that force is already within you. We are going to change our way of thinking in a positive way.”

As a mother of two children, she considers that the perception of beauty is a challenge and it is important to work on physical, emotional and mental well-being. “I have witnessed great changes in real women who seek to feel better about themselves, and it gives me great satisfaction to share with women who have gone through experiences similar to mine,” she says.

La guasha de madera se ha creado en una colaboración con ORIGAMI, una asociación civil que ayuda a generar trabajo a gente que esta privada de su libertad.

Vanessa invites you to know her story to prevent postpartum preeclampsia. “I would have loved to know these options existed, and this has nothing to do with weight. Circulation, lymphatic system, and hereditary factors are all important,” she adds.

Finally, she expresses her enthusiasm, joy and passion for this project, which she carries out from the heart. Her desire is to help and form a community of real women who support, motivate and uplift each other. “Accepting who you are and stopping comparing yourself to others is the first step to seeing a change in yourself,” she concludes.
